From humble beginnings, The Majestic Hotel has established itself as one of the leading family hotels in the South-East. Laura’s grandparents Annette and Danny Devine ran the hotel for 35 years before passing her the baton three years ago. Laura’s mother Sharon is also involved as a director. Sadly, Annette passed away last Christmas Eve, leaving the family heartbroken.

“My grandparents bought the premises in 1987 as an apartment hotel and turned it into the very successful 4-Star 60-bedroom hotel you see today. In the last five years, every section of the hotel has been completely refurbished to a high, luxurious standard, including the lobby, bar and restaurant. None of this would have happened without the drive and ambition of my grandmother who leaves a lasting legacy which we are determined to uphold.”
