Galgorm celebrates six wins at 2026 World Luxury Awards

23 Oct, 2026

Galgorm has secured six prestigious accolades at the 2026 World Luxury Awards, including three global titles recognising its luxury golf, spa and resort facilities.

The County Antrim resort was named Global Winner in the Luxury Golf Resort, Luxury Spa Village and Luxury Golf Resort Spa categories, while also collecting three Northern European awards for Luxury Resort, Luxury Spa Resort and Luxury Thermal Spa.

The awards were presented at a ceremony held at the JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel in Romania on October 17, bringing together representatives from the international luxury hospitality and wellness industries.

The latest recognition follows continued investment at Galgorm, the flagship property of Galgorm Collection, which has undertaken a series of upgrades to its accommodation and spa facilities.

A recent £3 million investment programme included the refurbishment of six junior suites, with private balcony hot tubs overlooking the River Maine, along with improvements to 45 superior rooms.

The programme also included the development of a £1 million Forest Spa Garden, featuring relaxation cabanas, private hot tubs, a sauna and woodland walkways.

More recently, the resort upgraded its Forest Dens accommodation, replacing outdoor bathtubs with hot tubs to enhance the guest experience.

Colin Johnston, CEO of Galgorm Collection, welcomed the international recognition and paid tribute to the resort’s staff.

“We are incredibly proud to see Galgorm awarded three global titles at the 2026 World Luxury Awards, recognising our Thermal Spa Village, golf and wider resort offering, alongside three further titles in Northern Europe.

“These awards reflect the commitment of our team to delivering exceptional experiences across every aspect of Galgorm, from our spa and golf facilities to our accommodation and wider hospitality offering.

“We continue to invest in evolving what a luxury resort experience can be, creating new opportunities for guests to relax, unwind and enjoy the unique surroundings of Galgorm. To have that commitment recognised on the international stage is a tremendous achievement for the entire team, and we are delighted that the award wins help shine a spotlight on Northern Ireland as a world-class destination for luxury hospitality and wellness tourism.”

The latest awards add to a growing list of accolades for Galgorm, which was included in the Irish Independent’s Hot 100 Best Hotels in Ireland in both 2025 and 2026.

Set within 550 acres of parkland in County Antrim, the resort offers a range of accommodation, including guestrooms, suites, cottages, Forest Dens, shepherd’s huts, log cabins and group residences.

Its Thermal Spa Village is a central feature of the property, alongside golf, dining and other leisure facilities.

Galgorm is part of the wider Galgorm Collection, which also operates The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat in Templepatrick, The Old Inn in Crawfordsburn and Roe Valley Resort in Limavady.

The group has continued to invest across its portfolio, developing its accommodation and hospitality offering as it seeks to attract visitors from Ireland and international markets.

Established in 2010, the World Luxury Awards recognise excellence across the international luxury hospitality and spa sectors.

Winners are selected through voting by guests, travellers and industry professionals, with more than 250,000 international travellers participating annually during a three-week voting period.
